Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Bourbon County economy in first half of 2017 with 77 reported sales totaling $12,325,468. Sales continue to be a driving force in Bourbon County economy.
Residential sales increased four percent from 74 sales reported in first half of the year 2016 to 77 sales reported in first half of the year 2017. The median sales price increased 10 percent from $126,750 in first half of the year 2016 to $139,000 in first half of the year in 2017. The average days on the market increased eight percent from 77 days in first half of the year 2016 to 83 days in first half of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Bourbon County increased 56 percent from June 2016 with 9 sales compared to 14 sales in June 2017. Pending sales decreased from 19 in June 2016 to 18 pending sales reported in June 2017. The median sales price had decreased from $174,700 in June 2016 to $126,750 in June 2017. New listings decreased 25 percent from 20 new listings in June 2016 to 15 new listings in June 2017.
