Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Jessamine County economy in first half of 2017 with 365 reported sales totaling $82,458,770. Sales continue to be a driving force in Jessamine County economy.
Residential sales increased five percent from 349 sales reported in first half of the year 2016 to 365 sales reported in first half of the year 2017. The median sales price increased four percent from $159,000 in first half of the year 2016 to $164,900 in first half of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 32 percent from 77 days in first half of the year 2016 to 52 days in first half of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Jessamine County increased 27 percent from June 2016 with 73 sales compared to 93 sales in June 2017. Pending sales increased from 76 in June 2016 to 87 pending sales reported in June 2017. The median sales price had increased from $175,000 in June 2016 to $176,500 in June 2017. New listings increased 30 percent from 93 new listings in June 2016 to 121 new listings in June 2017.
