Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Scott County economy in first half of 2017 with 593 reported sales totaling $122,440,777. Sales continue to be a driving force in Scott County economy.
Residential sales increased seven percent from 553 sales reported in first half of the year 2016 to 593 sales reported in first half of the year 2017. The median sales price increased four percent from $180,000 in first half of the year 2016 to $188,000 in first half of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 30 percent from 63 days in first half of the year 2016 to 44 days in first half of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Scott County increased two percent from June 2016 with 123 sales compared to 126 sales in June 2017. Pending sales increased from 107 in June 2016 to 112 pending sales reported in June 2017. The median sales price had increased from $182,000 in June 2016 to $188,576 in June 2017. New listings increased 13 percent from 165 new listings in June 2016 to 186 new listings in June 2017.
