Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Woodford County economy in third quarter of 2017 with 254 reported sales totaling $66,793,062. Sales continue to be a driving force in Woodford County economy.
Residential sales had no percentage of change with 253 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2016 to 254 sales reported in third quarter of the year 2017. The median sales price increased six percent from $202,900 in third quarter of the year 2016 to $215,500 in third quarter of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased from 57 days in third quarter of the year 2016 to 47 days in third quarter of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Woodford County increased 47 percent from September 2016 with 19 sales compared to 28 sales in September 2017. Pending sales increased from 30 in September 2016 to 42 pending sales reported in September 2017. The median sales price had increased from $190,000 in September 2016 to $219,750 in September 2017. New listings decreased 10 percent from 39 new listings in September 2016 to 35 new listings in September 2017.
