LBAR announces $267 million in Scott County real estate sales for 2017

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Scott County economy in 2017 with 1,254 reported sales totaling $267,045,957. Sales continue to be a driving force in Scott County economy.

Residential sales increased eight percent from 1,159 sales reported in 2016 to 1,254 sales reported in 2017. The median sales price increased four percent from $180,000 in 2016 to $186,998 in 2017.  The average days on the market decreased 25 percent from 59 days in 2016 to 44 days in 2017. 

Residential sales in Scott County increased 33 percent from December 2016 with 87 sales compared to 116 sales in December 2017. Pending sales increased from 73 in December 2016 to 66 pending sales reported in December 2017. The median sales price increased from $173,000 in December 2016 to $180,000 in December 2017. New listings decreased 16 percent from 69 new listings in December 2016 to 58 new listings in December 2017.
