LBAR announces $39.9 million in Montgomery County real estate sales for 2017

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Montgomery County economy in 2017 with 298 reported sales totaling $39,878,005. Sales continue to be a driving force in Montgomery County economy.

Residential sales increased one percent from 296 sales reported in 2016 to 298 sales reported in 2017. The median sales price increased four percent from $117,250 in 2016 to $122,000 in 2017.  The average days on the market decreased 18 percent from 83 days in 2016 to 68 days in 2017. 

Residential sales in Montgomery County decreased 17 percent from December 2016 with 24 sales compared to 20 sales in December 2017. Pending sales decreased from 13 in December 2016 to 11 pending sales reported in December 2017. The median sales price decreased from $116,500 in December 2016 to $112,500 in December 2017. New listings increased 11 percent from 19 new listings in December 2016 to 21 new listings in December 2017.
