Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Harrison County economy in 2017 with 153 reported sales totaling $18,416,321. Sales continue to be a driving force in Harrison County economy.
Residential sales decreased four percent from 159 sales reported in 2016 to 153 sales reported in 2017. The median sales price increased two percent from $110,000 in 2016 to $112,000 in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 12 percent from 77 days in 2016 to 68 days in 2017.
Residential sales in Harrison County decreased 55 percent from December 2016 with 20 sales compared to 9 sales in December 2017. Pending sales increased from 14 in December 2016 to 19 pending sales reported in December 2017. The median sales price increased from $109,800 in December 2016 to $135,000 in December 2017. New listings decreased 40 percent from 15 new listings in December 2016 to 9 new listings in December 2017.
