Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Bourbon County economy in first quarter 2018 with 35 reported sales totaling $5,564,148. Sales continue to be a driving force in Bourbon County economy.
Residential sales increased six percent from 33 sales reported in first quarter 2017 to 35 sales reported in first quarter 2018. The median sales price decreased four percent from $145,500 in first quarter 2017 to $140,000 in first quarter in 2018. The average days on the market decreased 30 percent from 120 days in first quarter 2017 to 84 days in first quarter 2018.
Residential sales in Bourbon County decreased eight percent from March 2017 with 12 sales compared to 11 sales in March 2018. Pending sales decreased from 14 in March 2017 to 12 pending sales reported in March 2018. The median sales price had decreased from $182,156 in March 2017 to $149,145 in March 2018. New listings increased 15 percent from 27 new listings in March 2017 to 31 new listings in March 2018.
