Residential real estate sales by members of the
Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Fayette County economy in first
quarter 2018 with 920 reported sales totaling $215,628,456. Sales continue to
be a driving force in Fayette County
economy.
Residential sales decreased
12 percent from 1,050 sales reported in first quarter 2017 to 920 sales
reported in first quarter 2018. The median sales price increased ten percent
from $175,000 in first quarter 2017 to $192,500 in first quarter in 2018. The average days on the market increased four
percent from 47 days in first quarter 2017 to 49 days in first quarter 2018.
Residential sales
in Fayette County decreased ten
percent from March 2017 with 426 sales compared to 382 sales in March 2018.
Pending sales decreased from 549 in March 2017 to 482 pending sales reported in
March 2018. The median sales price had increased from $226,862 in March 2017 to
$230,372 in March 2018. New listings decreased 14 percent from 659 new listings
in March 2017 to 569 new listings in March 2018.
