Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Rowan County economy in first quarter 2018 with 16 reported sales totaling $2,144,900. Sales continue to be a driving force in Rowan County economy.
Residential sales decreased 38 percent from 26 sales reported in first quarter 2017 to 16 sales reported in first quarter 2018. The median sales price increased 41 percent from $103,500 in first quarter 2017 to $146,250 in first quarter in 2018. The average days on the market increased 45 percent from 60 days in first quarter 2017 to 87 days in first quarter 2018.
Residential sales in Rowan County had no percentage of change with eight sales in March 2017 and March 2018. Pending sales increased from 11 in March 2017 to 13 pending sales reported in March 2018. The median sales price had decreased from $152,500 in March 2017 to $151,500 in March 2018. New listings increased 50 percent from 14 new listings in March 2017 to 21 new listings in March 2018.
