LBAR announces $12.5 million in Woodford County real estate sales in first quarter 2018

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Woodford County economy in first quarter 2018 with 59 reported sales totaling $12,522,109. Sales continue to be a driving force in Woodford County economy.

Residential sales increased two percent from 58 sales reported in first quarter 2017 to 59 sales reported in first quarter 2018. The median sales price increased eight percent from $181,750 in first quarter 2017 to $196,000 in first quarter in 2018.  The average days on the market decreased two percent from 51 days in first quarter 2017 to 50 days in first quarter 2018. 

Residential sales in Woodford County decreased 38 percent from March 2017 with 39 sales compared to 24 sales in March 2018. Pending sales decreased from 41 in March 2017 to 31 pending sales reported in March 2018. The median sales price had increased from $175,000 in March 2017 to $210,000 in March 2018. New listings decreased 23 percent from 44 new listings in March 2017 to 34 new listings in March 2018.
