Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Bourbon County economy in first half of 2018 with 73 reported sales totaling $11,197,398. Sales continue to be a driving force in Bourbon County economy.
Residential sales decreased five percent from 77 sales reported in first half of the year 2017 to 73 sales reported in first half of the year 2018. The median sales price decreased 14 percent from $139,000 in first half of the year 2017 to $120,000 in first half of the year in 2018. The average days on the market decreased 20 percent from 83 days in first half of the year 2017 to 66 days in first half of the year 2018.
Residential sales in Bourbon County increased 14 percent from June 2017 with 14 sales compared to 16 sales in June 2018. Pending sales decreased from 18 in June 2017 to 16 pending sales reported in June 2018. The median sales price had decreased from $126,750 in June 2017 to $96,500 in June 2018. New listings increased 13 percent from 15 new listings in June 2017 to 17 new listings in June 2018.
