Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Laurel County economy in first half of 2018 with 183 reported sales totaling $25,912,257. Sales continue to be a driving force in Laurel County economy.
Residential sales decreased three percent from 189 sales reported in first half of the year 2017 to 183 sales reported in first half of the year 2018. The median sales price increased two percent from $129,900 in first half of the year 2017 to $132,000 in first half of the year in 2018. The average days on the market decreased 15 percent from 98 days in first half of the year 2017 to 83 days in first half of the year 2018.
Residential sales in Laurel County decreased 33 percent from June 2017 with 46 sales compared to 31 sales in June 2018. Pending sales had no change with 45 in June 2017 to 45 pending sales reported in June 2018. The median sales price had increased from $126,250 in June 2017 to $145,000 in June 2018. New listings increased 11 percent from 57 new listings in June 2017 to 63 new listings in June 2018.
