Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Rowan County economy in first half of 2018 with 50 reported sales totaling $7,004,150. Sales continue to be a driving force in Rowan County economy.
Residential sales decreased 31 percent from 72 sales reported in first half of the year 2017 to 50 sales reported in first half of the year 2018. The median sales price increased ten percent from $130,200 in first half of the year 2017 to $143,000 in first half of the year in 2018. The average days on the market had no percentage change from 72 days in first half of the year 2017 to 72 days in first half of the year 2018.
Residential sales in Rowan County increased 56 percent from June 2017 with 9 sales compared to 14 sales in June 2018. Pending sales increased from 7 in June 2017 to 17 pending sales reported in June 2018. The median sales price had increased from $145,000 in June 2017 to $151,500 in June 2018. New listings remained the same from 23 new listings in June 2017 to 23 new listings in June 2018.
