Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Scott County economy in first half of 2018 with 555 reported sales totaling $125,459,220. Sales continue to be a driving force in Scott County economy.
Residential sales decreased six percent from 593 sales reported in first half of the year 2017 to 555 sales reported in first half of the year 2018. The median sales price increased nine percent from $188,000 in first half of the year 2017 to $204,900 in first half of the year in 2018. The average days on the market increased 27 percent from 44 days in first half of the year 2017 to 56 days in first half of the year 2018.
Residential sales in Scott County decreased 24 percent from June 2017 with 126 sales compared to 96 sales in June 2018. Pending sales decreased from 112 in June 2017 to 109 pending sales reported in June 2018. The median sales price had increased from $188,576 in June 2017 to $221,493 in June 2018. New listings decreased 29 percent from 186 new listings in June 2017 to 132 new listings in June 2018.
