Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Bourbon County economy in first quarter 2017 with 33 reported sales totaling $6,054,768. Sales continue to be a driving force in Bourbon County economy.
Residential sales decreased three percent from 34 sales reported in first quarter 2016 to 33 sales reported in first quarter 2017. The median sales price increased 35 percent from $107,950 in first quarter 2016 to $145,500 in first quarter in 2017. The average days on the market increased 15 percent from 104 days in first quarter 2016 to 120 days in first quarter 2017.
Residential sales in Bourbon County increased 140 percent from March 2016 with 5 sales compared to 12 sales in March 2017. Pending sales decreased from 15 in March 2016 to 14 pending sales reported in March 2017. The median sales price had decreased from $150,000 in March 2016 to $112,750 in March 2017. New listings increased four percent from 26 new listings in March 2016 to 27 new listings in March 2017.
