LBAR announces $12.7 million in Woodford County real estate sales in first quarter 2017

Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Woodford County economy in first quarter 2017 with 58 reported sales totaling $12,728,129. Sales continue to be a driving force in Woodford County economy.

Residential sales decreased 16 percent from 69 sales reported in first quarter 2016 to 58 sales reported in first quarter 2017. The median sales price decreased 13 percent from $210,000 in first quarter 2016 to $181,750 in first quarter in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 15 percent from 60 days in first quarter 2016 to 51 days in first quarter 2017.

Residential sales in Woodford County increased seven percent from March 2016 with 27 sales compared to 29 sales in March 2017. Pending sales increased from 38 in March 2016 to 41 pending sales reported in March 2017. The median sales price had decreased from $187,000 in March 2016 to $175,000 in March 2017. New listings increased 19 percent from 37 new listings in March 2016 to 44 new listings in March 2017.
