Residential real estate sales by members of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS® (LBAR) positively impacted the Anderson County economy in first half of 2017 with 141 reported sales totaling $23,018,247. Sales continue to be a driving force in Anderson County economy.
Residential sales decreased three percent from 146 sales reported in first half of the year 2016 to 141 sales reported in first half of the year 2017. The median sales price increased 13 percent from $132,700 in first half of the year 2016 to $149,450 in first half of the year in 2017. The average days on the market decreased 21 percent from 96 days in first half of the year 2016 to 76 days in first half of the year 2017.
Residential sales in Anderson County increased 18 percent from June 2016 with 28 sales compared to 33 sales in June 2017. Pending sales increased from 31 in June 2016 to 41 pending sales reported in June 2017. The median sales price had increased from $131,850 in June 2016 to $158,900 in June 2017. New listings increased 89 percent from 27 new listings in June 2016 to 51 new listings in June 2017.
